APPLE STOCKS LESS
s THAN YEAR AGO
Supply Also Lighter Than
Five-Year Average.
The coast markets have not yet been seri
ously affected by the Importations from
Australia. The first shipment to reach
San Francisco on Tuesday consisted of
6'38 cubes of 56 pounds each. A smaller
shipment of 2S.000 pounds arrived the
following; day.
Eggs are coming In freely following the
storm, and while prices have not yet been
changed, some of the handlers are looking
for a lower market soon, San Francisco
received 1650 cases of Australian eggs on
Tuesday.

Delayed Turkeys Are Disposed of.
A number of delayed shipments of tur
keys arrived yesterday, but they were all
disposed of, though at-lower prices than
prevailed during Thanksgiving. Most of
the aaios yesterday were made at 40 cents.
There u a fair demand for live poultiy
at generally steady prices.
Intorect In the dressed meat market was
light. Fork was weak at 13 cents fcr
the bet! Veal sold fairly well with some
iles at 14 cents.

of response to Thanksgiving strength of
foreign markets. The close was unsettled,
