more people on the land and more people in our cities and towns; more people to de
velop our resources and more people to consume and use our products; more people to pay our taxes.
How are we going to get them? - Expecting our friends and visitors to encourage
people to come to Oregon is a decidedly slow and uncertain method. It lacks co-ordination and system.
It lacks results. .
Could anything serve to emphasize Oregon's greatest weakness more than the figures
illustrated above? Ould anything portray more forcefully the stupendous task which confronts us?
Our Chambers of Commerce and other progressive bodies, active and efficient as they are, cannot be
expected to solve our population problem, under existing conditions, for many years to come.

It is not an idle, selfish, impossible scheme, but a brilliant and beneficial plan, con
ceived and indorsed by many far-sighted and progressive citizens of Oregon men and women of
vision with a genuinely patriotic interest and faith in Oregon, her people, her resources, her future.
It's a Big Oregon Job for Every
Oregon Citizen
It's our one big opportunity to bring more people to Oregon not a handful now and
then, but thousands of progressive people who will settle permanently throughout the State. Then,
and not until then, will our population show a decided upward trend and o'ur taxes a downward one.
Speed the Day
that will place Oregon in her rightful position in the Pacific Coast States. Her prob
lems are YOUR problems. Her future is YOUR future and your children's future.
