'Announcement
To Liberty Bond Holders
By their terms and by the terms of the Treasury Department's circulars, United States
Government coupon bonds and notes, and the coupons appertaining thereto, are payable
to bearer and title thereto passes by delivery. Since the Civil War the Treasury ofi
the United States has treated such securities as fully negotiable, and has refused to
recognize caveats and stop orders, or to grant relief to those whose securities were
alleged to have been lost or stolen.
C. F. Childs and Company are recognized as the largest dealers in United States Got.
ernment securities. They pay full current market prices for such securities as they
purchase. They never buy when they have any reason to doubt the title of the seller.
They have never had their title to United States Government coupon securities ques
tioned by the Treasury Department and have never failed and will not fail to protect
the rights of any purchaser from them.

Recent market action and
announcement of plans
for financing a large scale
copper export movement
would seem to indicate
that that is the case.
Certainly the market posi
tion of the coppers can
become little worse with
many dividends passed
and production, for the
most part, cut to less than
half of capacity.
Market possibilities of a
number of the leading
copper stocks in the event
of a renewed demand for
the metal are described in
our Bulletin PG4t.
