By School Girls to Decide
Which Team Will Represent
Multnomah Co. at State Fair
This is an invitation, to mothers, fathers, fond
aunts and the general public to see two teams
of school girls in a competitive exhibition of
canning tomatoes and beans this afternoon, the
winning team to be sent to the State Fair at
Salem.
The plrls will explain why they give the demonstration,
the principles of the cold-pack canning' which they prac
tice and will speak on necessary equipment Their can
ning la scientifically practical, and many older people
will be interested in their skillful, orderly methods.
One team will start canning at 2 o'clock, the other
team at 3:30. Judges will be in attendance and the
winning team will have their expenses paid to the
State Fair at Salem, there to compete for state honors.
