I - I i i i .i -" 1 CARS COLLIDE Two Men Injured und 100 Cliick ens Killed in Wreck at The Dalles. THE DALLES, Or., June 4. (Spe cial.) As a result of a head-on col lision this morning on the paved high way two miles east of here of an automobile driven by O. H. Gibson and a truck in which A. P. "Watter son and B. A. Reed were riding, Mr. "Watterson is lying in a local hospital with a fractured collarbone. Mr. Reed suffered a deep gash on his knee and the back of his head was injured. The truck was demolished and the front of the automobile caved in. T7ie casualties of the wreck consist of 100 chickens, which were being taken to market. Car Upsets, Occupants Injured. THE DALLES. Or., June 4. Spe cial.) "When the automobile occupied by Bert Scott turned over this morn ing on the road east of the city, Scott was injured about the right hip and Mrs. J. W. Ward and little daughter Doris, who were riding to this city with him. suffered minor hurts. The car did not work properly, so Scott stopped to investigate. When the repairs were made he started again. Then the car overturned. The Chinese have special fans for the three seasons of spring, summer and autumn.
