SERVICE is the foundation upon which we
builded our success. Irrespective of the su
periority of the machine, we could not have hoped
to bring our product to the position it holds in the
confidence of the public unless we had kept in mind
the best interests of our patrons.
Although for the future we are preparing for
larger and greater things, the present finds us unable
t supply the enormous demand for Underwoods.
War requisitioned every typewriter our factory
could produce. Peace, with reconstruction, changed
conditions, and universal labor troubles has tempo
rarily reduced our production.
We will Endeavor to make up in Service our
Temporary Shortage in Production
While this condition continues we will turn all
our branches into SERVICE STATIONS, with the
basis our Service Building in New York City.
From this building and each of our 200 offices we
will repair machines already in use, supply rental
typewriters to those whose orders for new ma
chines we are now unable to fill, and advise with
Underwood users as to the best methods for im
proving. their present typewriter equipment.
This effort to help is an expression of thanks
to our friends who have done so much to make the
Underwood Typewriter Company a success.
