ARGENTINE CORN PRICES FIRMER
Increasing Amounts Are Finding Their
Way Into Europe.
Commenting on the corn markets abroad
Sroomhall cables from Liverpool:
"Increasing amounts of Plate corn have
been finding their way into consumptive
channels but the distribution in the United
Kingdom Is still rather slow and the de
mand prevailing absorbs all amounts put
forward. Larger arrivals can b looked
for shortly, and It is hoped these quantities
will be placed in the hands of distributors
immediately. Argentine prices show
firmer tendency with exporters taking hold
en a broader scale. offerings, however,
remain in plentiful supply, so the foreign
buyers need feci no anxiety regarding their
ability to satisfy their future requirements.
Oats trade has dwindled to very small pro
portions and business at present is quiet.
Quantities of American and Plate are avail
able, but buyers do not appear anxious to
purchase at present prices.
