The Roosevelt is a wooden, single screw,
oil-burning steamer, built in 1905; length
1S2 ft-: breadth 35 ft. 5 in., and depth
10 ft. 2 In. The vessel Is of 654 gross
tons. It has two Scotch boiler built in
1907 and compound engine of 1000 h. p.
Fuel capacity is 859 - barrels. Equipped
with wireless. Vessel will be sold without
boats or movable equipment. The right is
reserved to reject any or all bids ; also
to suspend the sale. A certified check
or cash deposit of 10 per cent of the
amount of the successful bid must be
furnished on the day of the sale, and the
balance must be paid within 48 hours
of the time notice of the approval of
the sale by the Commissioner of Fish
eries is received by the purchaser. The
custody of the vessel will be retained by
the bureau until final payment Is re
ceived. The cash deposit or certified
check will be treated as security for
compliance with the terms of the sale,
and in case of failure -to comply with
these terms It will be forfeited to the
