at the North Portland yards yesterday and
advances were recorded In tbo cattle and
swlno divisions. Sixty loads of stock were
received for the week's opanJnc.
Buyers entered the cattle market In a
liberal way and with food quality available
on a laxce part of the offertnes prices were
bid up. Half a doxen loads of choice steers
were sold during; the day "at $Vd snd one
load was taken at 912.10. Choice cows
moved at 310.00 and 910.75, and other kinds
of butcher cattle were correspondingly
st rone;.
In the hoe; division there was an advance
of a dims over the best price of last week,
the now top standing; at 917.10. Trading
in the sheep market was practically at a
standstill for the want of offering

hogs and 9 sheep. Shippers were:
