County Judge Tazwell will hear both sides to morrow. Mr. Kiesendahl, who'is 77 years old, is said to be the owner of two apartment-houses from which he receives an income of about $250 a month. Mrs. Miller alleges that Mr. Kiesendahl Is not competent to attend to his affairs and asks to be appointed his guardian. According to Mrs. Miller, Kiesendahl for some time has been, making ivis home with her. ' . EX-CLARKE WOMAN PASSES Mrs. D. II. Elliott, Formerly of Van couver, Dies at Jforth Yakima. VANCOUVER. Elliot, of North Yaki ma, Wash., who before her marriage was Miss Addle Dorman, of this city, died suddenly at her home in North Yakima .yesterday, according to word received by. members of her family- In this city. Dorman. of Fern Prairie, and by six sisters: Mrs. James P. Lee, Mrs. John Eddings, Mrs. - E. O. Ball, Van couver; Mrs. E. W. Scott, The Dalles, Or.; Mrs. S. W. Fanning and Mrs. Curtis Anderson, La Center, Or. The funeral services will be held here tomorrow at 2 o'clock. "J JUDGE WILL REMAIN MAJOR C. IT. Gantenbein ' Has Decided to Accep Commission In Army. Judge C. TJ. Gantenbein. who ' is spending a 10-days' furlough in this city, announced yesterday that he had decided to accept the commission of Major and would not return to the Circuit Judgeship, from which he re signed a few weeks ago. Major Gan tenbein expects to report In a few days for active duty at American Lake. Judge Gantenbein originally was of fered a commission as Colonel of vol unteers, but when the War Depart ment decided to abandon the volunteer plan and increase the regular Army by the National Guard forces and by draft, there were fewer colonelcies to be given out.
