ALEXANDER THOMPSON SAYS THEY CAW PURIFY POLITICS. Representative From The Dalle. I. Speaker Before Nernul Sebool Student, at Moamootb. MONMOUTH. Or.. Jan. 22. (Special.) Mrs. Alexander Thompson, of The Dalles, the only woman member of the Oregon House of Representatives, spoke to normal school students and citizens of Monmouth this morning in the Normal School chapel on,th subject. These arguments brought frequent cheej-s from the audience, which was chiefly girls. She concluded her lec ture by saying that if women were placed on equal ground with the men in governmental affairs, laws would be made for our state and Nation that would solve both social and business problems.
