Boy Corhan will top at his ranch In New Mexico for a few days cm his way to Join the slipping San Francisco Seals. The idislodgment of Manager Blank enship, of the Bees, does not seem to bother the team any. They took tho series from the Seals last week and. have mauled Oakland to- a pulp in two starta this week. Temporarily Buddy Byan has charge of the Bees, and Blankenshlp intimat ed before he left San Francisco to at tend the meeting at Salt Lake that the outfielder wouUl be. left In charge for the remainder of the season. Kyan Is taking control of the club Just at a time when things look brightest for an upward dash. Should he succeed In keeping har mony In the club there Is every possi bility that the Bees will finish well up on the pennant ladder. This being tho case, he has everything to gain and nothing to lose. The fate of the Bees rests in the easy-going BudJy to keep I thin sa moving smoothly in the camp. Next season is another story. The Salt Lake directorate should ponder well Detore they allow any petty griev ance to cause them to look elsewhere for a manager. It will do well to let Blank assume the reins once more, for he has been a success and the di rectors should leave well enough alone. Under Blankenshlp the Bees made money and finished in second place last season. A successor his equal in handling players will not be found easily. In the opinion of many the letting go of Cliff was a mistake and the realization of it may follow speedily. 'POP GEEKS TAKES EAST RACE Veteran Drives Xapoleon Direct to Victory In ..Slow Time.
