Delraonico Puddfna and Grapefruit Salad demonstrated by her yes terday at The Oregonlan Better Foods-Better Homes school are given below together with tome other interesting recipes sub mitted by her: APPLE BAUCIS CAKE cupful Crisco. 1H cupfuls sugar, 3 egg. 2H cupfuls flour, 1 teaspoonful cinnamon, 1 tablespoon!1 ul allspice, H teaspoonful nutmeg. 1 teaspoonful baking powder. 4 teaspoonful salt, 1 cupful sour apple sauce. 1 teaspoonful soda, L cupful nuts. cupful raisin. Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs without beating. Sift dry Ingredients and add alternately with the apple sauce, with which the soda has been mixed. Add nuts and raisins last. Bake in layer tins. KILLING FOB APPLE SAUCE CAKE 1 egg white. Crisco. 1 teaspoonful salt, XXXX sugar. Place egg white In cup and ftll with creamy Crisco. Add salt. Place mixture In bowl. Add sugar until stiff enough to spread. DELMOMCO PUDDING 2 cupful milk. 2 egg yolks. H cupful sugar, 2 tablespoonfuis Knox gelatine softened In H cupful cold milk, 1 teaspoonful vanilla, H cupful sherry wine, 2 egg whites. y pint whipped cream, macaroons, crystallised cherries. Heat 2 cupfuls milk to the boiling point In double boiler. Beat the yolks of eggs very light and beat into them the sugar, add this to the hot milk and cook until the custard coats the spoon. Take from the fire, add gelatine, which has been softened In M cupful cold milk. Add vanilla and sherry wine and let cool. Beat the whites of eggs stiff and fold into them the whipped cream. When cus tard begins to set. fold Into it the cream and whites of eggs and put into a mold. Mold with alternate layers of broken macaroons and crystallized cherries. GRAPEKRflT SALAD box gelatine. 1 pint strong lemonade, pulp of 3 grapefruit, 1 cupful boiled dressing. Soak gelatine In M cupful water. When soft add to lemonade and bring to a boll. Chill, and when It is beginning to congeal add the grapefruit pulp and boiled dressing. Put in criscoed molds and pack in les and salt for three hours. CROWN FLOUR This unbleached pure-food flour is recommended by , Mrs. Vaughn and used by her in all her demonstrations Eat plenty of bread it's good for you The best bread is made-with Fleischmann'sYeast JOHN DOUGH Raised on "FLEISCIEM ANN'S YEAST" v. r Coffee Parfait One-third cup strong: "DEPENDABLE" Coffee, one half cup grranulated sugar. Boil until it will spin a thread. Pour over the whites of two well-beaten eggs SSJv-ia tSPtS?1-.1, flavor with one teaspoonful of "DE PENDABLE' Vanilla. Fold this into one pint of dou ble whipping cream, well whipped. Pack in well-oiled mould. Place in finely crushed ice and salt, using one part salt to two parts ice. Allow .to stand four hours.
