It was a drizzly, clammy day. but it was what they have been used to and their habits of lite fitted nicely into the color scheme. The only thing that spoiled a shut out for Wynn Noyes was a home run drive over the left field fence by Bunny T?rif in the. eitrhth. The homer put Bunny on an even keel with Louie Guisto in the home run race, each now liavina? ten. In the ninth, Noyes stuck a couple over the plate after two were out for h hovs to hit. Aside from that he allowed only four real hits, one being: charged against him when a runner was hit bv a batted ball- witn tne ex ception of Brief, only three men got as far as second. All around he pitched & superb ball game and good fielding helped him along. Hughes Easy Prey for Beavers, Long Tom Hughes was easy prey for tlie Beavers, in the first the visitors got Tom for four runs and in the sec ond he set the stage for three more. Stanley Dougan pitched excellently ex cept in the seventh when the Mc Credietes bunched four hits for two , runs.
