The principal object of yesterday's meeting was to ajain the views of the lumber Interests ot the Pacific North west on the general programme for bettering the industry. This move ment was started at San Francisco last October, when tho first industry con ference was conducted by the Western Forestry and Conservation Association, It is aimed, through this organisation, to unify the efforts of all associations connected with the timber Industry.
