money on It.
J. D. Kroner, a resident of Southern
Oregon, came to Portland to celebrate
t'hristmaa. He met a stranger named
J. K. Hausman. 107 Second street,
whom he later accused of taking bis
watch and chain. Detective John A.
Gaits recovered the watch and chain
and the Southern Oregon man feels
that his Christmas celebration was not
wholly blighted by misfortune.
