FIGHT ON MARCELLUS ENDS Efforts to Kcniove or Have Health Officer Resign Fail. Efforts of City Commissioner Daly to bring about the removal or resigna tion of City Health Officer Marcellus because of his having removed Ira T. Beeman from the position of quaran tine officer come to an end yesterday when Mr. Daly's ordinance providing for the cutting in two of tho doctor's aalary was killed. - When the measure, whic" was intro duced the day after the dismissal of Mr. Beeman and which v followed later by a Councilmanic investigation, came up for final passage.
