Although property-owners alone the new Linnton boulevard bad understood that the City Council Intended at a spe cial meeting yesterday to glv a deci sion on th proposition of assessments for th construction of the boulevard, they wer disappointed, for th Council was bo nearer a settlement of tha trou ble at th meeting man they were three weeks aio. when tbo case first was considered. Th boulevard baa been completed and the costs assessed. Property-own ers hav objected and threaten to go Into th courts on the ground that the city cannot collect more than a part ot the assessments because th final cost was about double th original estimate and th court hav held that the city cannot collect on more than a reason able Increaae of this kind.
