to be held at the Oregon Agricultural
College,' January S to 8. preceding by
two days the opening of the annual
short count, promises to eclipse in In
terest and attendance the session or
last year, w hen :20 farmer, house-1

In addition to lectures and demon-
stration to be given by the regular
college staff, R. D. Hetzel, director of
the extension department. Is making
provision for addresses by some of the
leading authorities in the United States
on questions of agriculture and rural
problems. Several members of the
United States Department of Agricul
ture have promised to attend, and
many others who have attained suc
cess as farmers, breeders of livestock,
pouitrymen. horticulturists, dairymen
and market specialists will take part.
The Oregon State Dairymen will con
vene January 4. The Oregon Guernsey
Breeders' Club, the Oregon Holstein
Breeders' Association, the Oregon Jer
sey Club and the Oregon. Holstein
Fresian Club will meet on the same
day. The Oregon Dairymen's Associa
tion will be in session three days be
ginning January 5. ,
A conference of Oregon butter and
cheese makers will be held under the
direction of Professor Simpson, Janu
ary 6 and 7.
A boys' and girls stock-Judging con
test will take place in the college
