Or., Nov. S(Spe ciaL) As a result of burns from an explosion of gasoline, with which he was- cleaning a pair of skates Satur day afternoon. Andrew Linquist, the 11-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. An drew Linquist, of Willamette, died this morning;. Death came after 36 hours cjf suffering, Young Linquist and several com panions were cleaning skates in the Willamette fire hall, which had re cently been converted into a skating rink. They were using gasoline, and some of the liquid spilled on the floor. One of the boys lighted a match to burn It off, when the gas in the pan ignited. In their efforts to put out the fire the pan was upset and the burning liquid was splashed on Lin Quist. Leroy Allen, who also was hit by soiu of the burning fluid, was able to Bet outside and smothered the flames. L,lnquist, who was younger, was un able to help himself, and by the time assistance reached him ho had been badly burned. He was taken to the iionie of H. Leisman, nearby, and later taken to his home, a quarter of a mile distant. He is survived by his parents, seven sisters and one brother. CLASSIFIED AD RATES Daily and Sun oar.
