What "Power Gas" Is
Power Gas is simply a heat-resisting lubricant
nothing more, nothing less.
Its heat-resisting power is what makes it so effi
cient what enables it to perform a function that no
ordinary lubricating oil can.
A well known and reputable chemist has made a thorough
scientific chemical analysis of Power Gas and puts himself on record
with this statement: "Power Gas does not contain any materials
such as picric acid or ether or any other substance harmful to a
motor."
Power Gas is purely an extract of crude petroleum.
How It Works
The heat generated within a motor while in
operation will burn up any cylinder oil, and just
at the time when the operating parts of the motor
need lubrication the worst way.
. The thin film of oil distributed by the piston
onto the cylinder wall from the supply in the
crank case, is burned up before the piston begins
to make its up stroke on the fourth cycle. Of
course, the piston always carries a new supply
of oil with it on its up stroke and constantly
distributes a new film of oil on the cylinder
wall, but think how thin this film of oil must
be when the motor heats up and expands, leav
ing but very little room between the piston
and the cylinder walL It Is very clear, surely,
that the resistance 'and friction would certainly '
, be reduced if the cylinder wall was kept lubri
cated for both the up and down stroke of the
, piston.
This is exactly what Power Gas does. It Is a
I ubrlcant that does not burn up even in the most
intense heat generated In the motor. Released
by the explosion in the combustion chamber and
sprayed onto the cylinder wall while the piston
Is on its downward journey, it completes the
lubrication that can only be done imperfectly by
the lubricating oil alone.
Power Gas is not a substitute for lubricating
oil. It's an assistant an invaluable assistant.

THE OREGONIAN
What It Does
1: It enables your machine to run from 15
to 60 more miles per gallon of gasoline. This
increase in mileage seldom falls below 20 and
in certain definite tests, which we have con
ducted, it was as much as 83.
2: It increases power.
3: It enables you to get more speed out of
your- machine when you want it.
4: It makes the motor start easier and pick
up quicker.
5: It makes the motor run smoother and
more silently.
6: It prevents the formation of carbon by
spraying a film of heat-resisting oil onto the sur
face of the cylinder walls, cylinder head, piston
head, valves, sparking points, etc. Carbon cannot
form on this oily surface any more than an egg
can stick to a well-greased frying pan.
If used continuously. Power Gas will eliminate
carbon that has already formed in the motor.
The oil in Power Gas soaks under it, softens it
and it is then easy for the force of the explosions to
throw it out through the exhaust with the exhaust
