AUTO BOGS AND IS SHIPPED
Touring Car Enable to Make Way
Through Columbia County.
To make the trip by auto from Seat
tle to Klama, Wash., only to get stuck
in the mud just this side ot Goble, In
Columbia County, in an attempt to
reach PorUand. was the experience of
Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Wade, of Altonia
Apartments. Marshall and Nineteenth
streets. . With the aid of a farmer and
mule team the car was finally extri
cated and sent by boat from Goble to
Columbia City, after which the trip
was made without mishap. They
reached Portland Monday.
Air. and Mrs. Wade say that autoists,
making the trip from Seattle to Port
land, should ship their car by boat
from Goble to Columbia City or from
K'Ipo to Portland.
