In the second round Callahan took the aggressive, and near the middle of the round ended the bout .with a right swing to the Jaw. It was sev eral minutes before Rivers revived suf ficiently to leave the ring. Both men made the required weight, 133 pounds, at 3 o'clock. Except for a brief period in the sec ond round Rivers forced the fighting, Callahan taking blows to the head and body without a return, apparently waiting for the opportunity for a knockout, which came after four min utes of fighting. When the blow was delivered Rivers was settling himself after a clinch. Callahan's right landing squarely on te jaw as he turned. Callahan is virtually a newcomer as a fighter, while Rivers,-although he lost championship battles to both Wol gast and Ritchie, was still regarded as a contender for the lightweight title. Suspension from the Y. M. C. A. was meted out today to six prominent young high school students, five mem bers of Baker's football team, and all members of leading families of Baker. The action was taken by the directors as the result of the investigation of charges against Ray swan, Al Langrell, Sprague Carter,- Lynn Gardner, Lyman Gardinier and Will Spangler, a sextet of high school boys, accused of rough ly handling at a "kangaroo court" little Merl Jasper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jasper. 7 According to the story told Dy jas- ner. he was "kangarooed" at a court in the Y. M. C. A, basemen yesterday and sentenced by the "judge" to a spanking. The "spanking" is said to have been a severe wnipping ana me lad's flesh was cut and his back in jured. He declares he was sent borne witn a threat that if he told he would again be "kangarooed." Arriving home last srht he crept to his bed and when nis mother asked him to do something for her she was unable to get him from bed. His mother then insisted that he explain his condition and he did so. A report was made to tne x. m. A. directors, who promptly ordered an investigation. declaring that they the part of the boys. Secretary Love pointed out that the Y. M. C. A has been made a home and gathering place for the high school boys and that they will not be permitted to abuse the priv ileges.
