The dentistry bill, which first seemed to have carried in the county, has lost by more than 1500. The non-partisan judiciary is behind In the county by the narrow margin of 34 votes. The so-called "vicious" measures, including- the proposed 61600 tax exemp tion, the waterfront amendments, pro portional representation, abolition of the state Senate, sur-tax, the universal eight-hour law and the tax for the unemployed have been defeated deci sively. "Primary" Bill "Walloped. Multnomah County showed no pa tience at all for the so-called "primary delegate' bill, which was a movement to legalise the -assembly, and walloped It to the tune of 49,355 to 7861 a net majority against it of 41,494.
