For Sunday a somewhat novel pro
gramme la being- prepared for the
acred Heart Church, East Eleventh
and Center streets, by the Holy Names
Society. Mrs. P. A. Tuhey has charge
of the arrangements. According to
the arrangements the programme will
include the production on the stage
of the pictures In the hall of all the
deceased members of the Holy Names
Society. There will, be prayer service
and ceremonies appropriate. At the
morning service the members of the
Holy Names Society will attend the
communion in a body in behalf of the
dead members. Many prominent per
sons have been asked to come in the
evening to witness the ceremonies in
the hall In memory of the dead mem
bers, Ladd Addition Club to Meet. The
Ladd Addition Club will meet Friday
night In the basement of the First
United Evangelical Church, on East
Sixteenth street in Ladd Addition. It
is expected that the specifications
under which the streets of this addi
tion were paved several years ago will
be placed before the meeting. At the
last meeting, the contract was sub
mitted, but the specifications were
missing and these have been asked
for in order to ascertain on what con
dition the pavements were made. It
Is planned to have a short programme
at this metatlner.

wood shortly for Browning, Mint.,

Commissioners yesterday took steps to

Milwaukib School Reopens. The
Milwaukio school was reopened Mon
day. now that the diphtheria epidemic
has subsided. A few of the remaining
cases are still under quarantine.

Ban Off Amateur Radios. Amateur
wireless stations may open again,
providing they violate no neutrality
laws, is the announcement of the radio
service of the United States Depart
ment of Commerce, rescinding its order
of August 25. The operators are
warned that they must not transmit
or receive any message containing in
formation for belligerent, nations of
Europe, or divulge any chance message
of the kind that might be picked up.

Cohen Goes to Prison Today. Max
Cohen, convicted of subornation of
perjury, whose appeals for a new trial
has failed, will leave for McNeil
Island this morning at 6:30 to serve
a two-years' sentence. He will be
taken from the County Jail to the Fed
eral prison by Chief Deputy Marshal
MacSwain.
Alleged Thief Arrested. Patrol
man Burri arrested Dan Greenland at
First and Burnside streets yesterday
on a charge of larceny. Peter Lind
strom and Herman Hokenson com
plained that Greenland robbed them
while they were asleep in the Panama
