Venice plastered San Francisco with its fourth straight defeat of the week with a score of S to J today, cinched the series, set itself a little tighter in the leader ship of the league and sent the sliding Seals a little closer to fourth place. Standridge started to pitch in top notch form for the Seals and blanked the Tigers on hits and runs until the sixth, the Seals meanwhile having gath ered five hits and a pair of runs from their old teammate "Cack" Henley. In the sixth the Tigers etarted, with and ninth innings and tied the score. Wakeman, chairman of the Multnomah Club tennis committee, will begin this week to list entries for the annual Oregon state tennis champion ships. An attempt will be made to bring in a. long list from the many smaller clubs which have sprung up throughout the city in the last few years. These smaller clubs are the ones which have lagged in previous years and it is Mr. Wakeman's desire to get them interested. Emil Huhn, the distinguished trans planted Seattle flrstsacker, hit the ball on the nose in tne last half of the tenth Inning, thereby scoring Cadman and winning for Seattle an Intensely Interesting and at times speatacular battle. Score: Seattle 6, Portland 4. Portland had the lead twice, twice Seattle tied and finally won. Those who have been watching this remark able series may recall that this Is the third game Seattle has won this week, and in each case E. Huhn delivered tile blow. Fullerton pitched the entire game for Seattle, and with perfect support. would have been scored on only once. That wag in the third, when singles by McKune and Haworth and a double by Coltrin cut one on the board. Killilay's muff of a fly was responsible for the second tally In the inning. Seattle could do nothing with Fram bach for three innings. His support was brilliant.. In the fourth Killllay walked. James skied to Milllgan. Cad singled. Killllay went to third, scor ing on Swain's single. Huhn tied it here by driving Cad home. Fram bach was lifted with two on.
