Street Sweeper Tells of Attack Made
by Man Iatcr Killed.
Feed Fieren, a street sweeper, who
lives at 341 J3ast Third street, North,
yesterday told attaches of the Cor
oner's office that he was assaulted at
ixtli and Burnside streets last Friday
right by the unidentified man whose
mutilated body was found a few hers
iater in the Northern Pacific terminal
'I was sweeping: at Sixth and Burn
side streets when this man canre run
ning along:, full tilt, frothing at the
mouth," Pieren said. "He ran into me
and Knocked me down and when I got
up he took my brush away from me
and ran down the street."
Pieren positively identified the body.
