The funeral will be held Sunday at 1 o'clock. ElTtSBNE, Or., May 8 (Special.) A completed railroad grade between Eu- fiene and Coos Bay will be finished this week and rails will be laid to Marshfield early in 1915, according to H. P. Hoey, Southern Pacific engineer in charge of the Willamette Pacific, who returned la3t night from an in Hpection trip. One thousand men are nt work and this number is to be in creased as fast as men can be shipped In. Mr. Hoey was accompanied by W. 1 1. Fountaine. assistant engineer. Mr. Hoey bases his Ixopen on the statements of the contractors. The prade is now completed to Acme and rails are laid to a point 35 miles west of. Kufrene Trains will reach tide water from Eugene this Summer, ac cording to present plans. The larger bridges across the Stuslaw. the Ump- qua and Cobs Bay are factors which much be counted upon to bring the Mr. Hoey inspected the completed KLICKITAT TO BUILD LINE tramway and lake system of transpor tation between the Sluslaw and the Umnn.ua rivers. It is similar to trans portation devices used by contractors on the Canadian Pacific, and makes unnecessary the construction of high ways over which to move supplies to the construction camps. The supplies are broucrht from Slus law vessels and loaded on narrow cause tram cars, which are elevated by cable up a mile incline to the top of the hills, and run over a narrow- eauge road to a string of lakes. The railroad camps are built on barges. -which will move along the lakes the work progresses. Crews now are working on both ends of four tunnels. No. 7 being 4300 reet long. The crew from the north is 1000 feet under pround and boring 300 feet a month. liailroad files Its Incorporation Pa pers With $100,000 Capital. VANCOUVER, Wash., May 8. (Spe cial.) A client lias placed this lot with me for sale with positive instructions to dispose of same by May 12. To do this I have decided to let it sell itself in this manner : I will show you the lot or you can fro and see it -yourself. Investigate values thoroughly, and make an offer. I will hold all offers in iny office until May 12, at which time they will be submitted to the owner. I am not in a position to ab solutely guarantee the acceptance of any offer, but it is my opinion that the best offer will secure the lot. AVhile this is in s high-class, well- uilt-up neighborhood and close in, there is no building x-estriction as to flats, apartments, etc., and there are only a few vacant lots left in this' dis trict. City liens amount to a little more than $100, and are to be assumed by buver. Mortgage (straight loan) now on property $1000 at 8 per cent, has bout one year to run to be assumed.
