Bracts Chairman of State Coauaiulon, Seen Bfo Probability of University Being: Moved. t ' """"" MOSCOW. Idaho. April 23 (Spe cial.) "It Is the cardinal duty of the citizens of Moscow to build av beautiful city here, a city the beauty of which will be commensurate with the im portance of your state university. You have the natural advantages that so to make your efforts comparatively easy and Jt would be a beautiful mon ument to your commercial organization that would stand for all time to come to have accomplished such a wonder ful work." said Tom Richardson. Port land publicity man. at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon at the Elks Temple yesterday. The meeting of the Chamber was held at noon and the Chamber had as its g-uests the State Board of Edu cation, the heads of the state educa tional institutions and the physicians in attendance at the meeting of the North Idaho District Medical Associa tion. Following the usual luncheon, Wal ter S. Bruce, president of the Board of Education, declared his personal opinion that there is not the least probability that the university would ever be removed from Moscow. D. Ll Evans. ofiMalad, emphasized the importance of fostering a state spirit. Dr. Sisson. Commissioner of Educa tion, pointed out the development of the few past years tending toward greater Interest in educational matters among business men. President Brannon. of the univer sity, spoke on the courage and spirit of progress exhibited in the Western States in dealing with educational as well' as other problems. In the mat ter of educational development, he said he believed that the people of Idaho would continue their policy of "watch ful waiting" so long as it appeared that progress is being made. Keepers of Bees Cautioned. L.EWISTON. Idaho, April 23. (Spe cial.) Clarkston and Lewiston fruit growers who keep "'bees stand a fair chance of having their colonies deci mated, or perhaps in many cases de stroyed, during the coming week when the war against the codling moth be gins. The arsenate of lead spray that is first applied to the apple trees about the time the blossoms begin to drop their petals is fatal to bees, and an ef fective way to p. -vent them fc-om being thus poisoned is to make the blossoms offensive by simply mixing some lime sulphur spray with the codling moth solution. A gallon of lime-sulDhur spray in 50 barrels of the arsenate of lead spray is considered sufficient for the purpose. BUSINESS DIRECTORY DANCING. PROF.
