Something like 200 men sat in the Heilig Theater last night listening to "The Quaker Girl" melodies and com edy, and. not one of them made any pretense of taking off his headgear. But then they were privileged charac ters. They wore the fez of the Mystic Shrine and were there to honor their friend. John P. The nobles and their ladies occupied the front part of the house and numer ous little personal hits were made to fit tho occasion, such as quarantining oue of the principals in the cast just because Noble George Stapleton was prevented from attending the perform ance on. account of some of his children having mea3les. The performance was extended be yond the usual length on aecount of speeches by the star and replies, and it was 11:30 o'clock before the fimtl curtain fell.
