Playgrounds and social centers will bo the subjects of discussion at a rally meeting Thursday night at the public library assembly hall. PROPERTY SALE IS PUT OFF Second Disposition of Delinquent Holdings Delayed for' Time. Owing to the fact that sufficient money has been paid into the city treasury to meet the city's Improve ment bond interest for several months to come, the city has abandoned the proposed sale of property announced for October 16 to secure money on de linquent installment payments. The first sale occurred several days apo. when about 200 pieces of property were sold at public auction to the highest bidders. All of this property was delinquent on the entire amount of the bonded Indebtedness against the property and the sale was necessary to oav off the bonds issued by the city to cover the amount. It took the Jury more than 13 hours to agree to a verdict allowing Albert Sagner $500 for injuries sustained when he was run into by an auto driven by Mrs. Alice McCredle. W. W. McCredle, owner of the Portland base ball clubs, was riding in the car with his wife at the time the accident oc curred at the corner of Grand and Killingsworth avenues last Summer. Judge McCredie was a defendant in the case and addressed the Jury in his own behalf. Sagner, who is but 12 years old. sued, through his guardian, for 125.000.
