A large delegation from Portland at
tended the meeting held here last night
by the Gresham Commercial Club to
celebrate the location of the plant of
the Beaver State Motor Company here.
O. A. Eastman, president of the club,
Introduced J. TV. Stapleton as toast
master. - Mr. Stapleton congratulated the peo
ple of Gresham on having secured the
location of the automobile factory, and
declared It would mean much for the
place. Then followed a long list of
talks by prominent citliens and visit
ors, including J. Fred Larson, of Port
land: F. W. Hild. of the Portland Rail
way, Light & Power Company: E. J.
Jaeger, of Portland, and A.' Cleveland,
of Gresham.
