RAYMOND, Wash., July 17. (Spe
: ciaJ.) Following- rumors that have
been current for several days of the
ipendlnar arrest ot several prominent
Raymond men. Information was filed
today by the Prosecuting Attornev
against M. C. Welsh, J. B. Welsh and
P. W. Culver, and they were arrested
charged with conspiracy to corrupt
witnesses in the damage suit brought
by J. vv. coieman and Belle Coleman
against the city for $10,000 damages,
alleged to have been sustained by Cole
man through stepping into a hole in a
sidewalk.

Jackson, the latter arrested two days

Jackson appeared before Justice

day for a preliminary hearing, at which
time the case was dismissed without
prejudice by the Prosecuting Attorney
but ho was immediately rearrested.
