Mr. Boudlnot Seeley Is the pastor. $11,800 has been raised, leaving; only $3200 to be raised to complete the entire sum. Rev. Mr. Seeley said yesterday that there Is no doubt but the rest will be secured. The amount raised so far Is as follows: $10,800 subscriptions and $1000. the last of the $13,000. which w subscribed on condition that the inter vening $3200 be secured. The com mittees will continue their canvass until the last dollar has been raised. Howe, on a charge of Issuing a worth less check for $15. Howe was a neigh bor of the detective's and played upon that string to get the cash on his paper. He waa arrested by the Sheriff at Eugene 10 minutes after request was made here. Howe waa brought back from Eugene on a similar charge, a few weeks ago, by Detective Llther land, but the case was not prosecuted. Prosecutor Allowed Emerobnct Fund. Mr. Evans must account for all money spent by vouchers. Frequently he has found his hands tied and has lost valuable time because of the necessity of going through a great deal of red tape to get money. Mr. Kellogg was born in Portland, August is, isu. ma parents being Mr. and Mrs. Jason Kel logg, the latter a pioneer of 1848, and brother of Joseph Kellogg.
