OREGONIAX NEW S BUREAU, Wash ington, April 25. The Interstate Com merce Commission today suspended from April 3a to October JO the O.-W. Ti. & X. tariffs, which proposed to eliminate through rates on lumber and other commodities from North Pacific Coast points to Eastern points via Denver and certain other Western gateways. Tha Commission also suspended for a Ha period the O.-W. R. & N- tariffs wheh proposed to cancel through rates on wool and mohair from North Pa cific Coast points via "Wallula and Northern Pacific to points east. CIGAR LIGHTER KILLS TWO Pocket Instrument Causes Explosion on Xevr Imperator. HAMBURG. April 25. Two men are dead and three are dying out of eight injured In an explosion of benxln last night on board the new Hamburg American liner Imperator at Cnxhaven. The accident was caused by a work man who filled his pocket lighter from a benzine tank. About 1000 workmen were on board patting on the finishing touches in readiness for the trial trip.
