evening will be enjoyable. All South

efforts of the National Audubon Society
to prevail upon Congress to pass a lew
prohibiting the Importation of th?
skins and plumage of rare birds for
millinery purposes, as such birds are
rapidly being exterminated. The presi
dent. Mrs. UodUing. appointed a com
mittee to have charge of the manage
ment of the play writing contest, con
slating of Mrs. Bertha Voorhorst, Mrs.
Meals. Mrs. Amnle Josiyn, Mrs. Nathan
Harris and Mrs. Colista M. Dowling.

Harris to meet with her in her home

Ellse. left yesterday for the East and
will sail shortly for Europe. They

parents. Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Pate, In
Htllsboro. last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs.
Kerr were recipients of a number of
bandsome gifts. They will reside In
the county seat.
