"But that does not argue that the
Naval Militia will not be disbanded.

no more reason why the Naval Militia

Industrial Workers of the World, the
entire crew of 241 men employed by
th Stone St Webster Company, con
structing the power dam on the White
Salmon .River, three miles above this
place, went on strike this morning.
The men have been working 10-hour
shifts for 11.25 and paying the com
pany TS cents a day for board. They
demanded an increaae of 2S centa a
day and better accommodations with
reinstatement of all men in case of
settlement of the strike.

pay could not be granted the men quit
work and 105 have drawn ' their pay,
