terday and were three days ahead of
their schedule. If they continue at this
pare they will reach Portland a week
before the convention opens.
Plans have been completed by the
Northern Pacific Terminal Company for
the elaborate decoration of the Union
Depot during the time the Elks are
here. Work on the construction of the
welcome arch at the North Bank
