There was a reaction toward the close of covering by shorts, hut the cloae was under yesterday. The official statement of ship ment from thl country for July show a gain of 3.800,000 bushel over the corre sponding month last year. Corn showed a tendency to follow wheat, but trade was small and the range of price narrowed. September sold between 65 4c and 644c Oats price followed wheat and corn over a narrow range.
