In From Xehraska Big Sales
In Sheep Market.
The stockyarde were better supplied yes
terday than for some time past, the total
run amounting to 4203 head. Among the
recelpta were eight carloads of Nebraska
hogs which wera delivered on contract.
The principal sale In the cattle division
was a bunch of 12J steers which brought
J5.7S. Other steers sold from IS.!5 to
35.0. Good cows ranged from S4.&0 to $a
and calves eold from It. SO to $7.25.
Tha feature of the sheep market waa the
sale of a big bunch of 667 head at J 3.
Wethers went at $1:3 and lambs at 5.
Receipts were 834 cattle, 161 calves.

off soon In receipts made wheat buyers to
day more active. The close was strong at

up showed a gain of lc to 2(i2(4o over
last night, and oats a rise of e to c
The outcome for provisions varied from 2c
lower to 20c Increase in cost.
Actual purchases of wheat to arrive here
were conaiderably less than for the preced
ing 24 hours. It was also regarded as sig
nificant that the estimated number of car
loads expected to reach Chicago tomorrow
had fallen to 518. as compared with (!3
today, and with much higher totals earlier
In the week. During the day September
fluctuated between ST'.c and 8Sc with
last sales the top figures reached, a net
advance of lc.
In corn, small receipts, light acceptancea
and fair Eastern demand were among the
reasons for a bulge. The September option
had ranged from 63c ro 64 c and cloaed
strong at 04;c. an advance of l"2c. com
pared with 24 hours previous. Cash grades
were unsettled. No. 2 yellow finished at
64"4 (S6.1C. .
The oats market was nervous and Inclined
to follow corn. High and low polnta touched
bv- the September delivery proved to be
42c and 41c. with the close .c up at 429c.
Provisions had a strong undertone, a con
sequence of the rise In grain. At the last
gong pork was 2,c off to 20c dearer than
last nlgt, and other producta up 0c to &W
