DIVER FINDS COOK'S BODY
Man Who Fell From Schooner Held
Under Water by Snagr.
ABERDEEN, "Wash.. Juno 1. (Spe
cial ) suspended In th Chehalis River
by a sansj and found by Diver Frank
Crane, who Is engaged in work con
nected with repairs to the Chehalis
River water main, the body of Christ
Johnson, formerly a cook on the
schooner A. B. Johnson, who was
drowned a month ago at Wilson Bros,
dock in East Aberdeen, was found this
morning;.
Johnson was about 40 years of age,
a resident of San Francisco and unmar
ried. He was a brother of Captain
Johnson of the schooner, now on a
voyage to Mexico. Johnson lost his
life when his foot caught in a chain
as he was barding tho schooner late
one evening. He was thrown into the
tide, which was running out. The cur
rent carried him a considerable dis
tance and lodged his body against a
snag on which his clothing caught arid
prevented the body from rising to the
surface.
