With "Itabblf Wares -and "Bunny"
P. arc e In the lineup, the Oaks ought to
be some fast combination If nomencla

what shy of hair, therefore "bare" la
probably more appropriate.
Like the Beavers, tha Knadstera had
the mornlns; came won until the latter
Innings and then blew up and allowed
Tacoma to beat them out. With only
two pitchers able to work. Nick Wil
liams seems to be the victim of the
hardest kind of luck. Bloomfleld made

Same Thing In Morning:.
TACOMA, Wash., May SO. (Special.)
Tacoma and Portland played two games
today, both being of that variety which
should do much towards enlarging tha
practice of those physicians who make
a specialty of heart trouble. Both were
won and lost a number of times and the
fans were on the tips of their toea the
greater part of the five hours which the
two contests required. Tacoma won the
morning game in the ninth inning by a
score of 7 to 6. The Roadsters took the
afternoon pastime In the 12th Inning, the
final count being C to 1
If the morning game waa filled with
Incidents, the afternoon contest had a
sttper-careo of brand-new thrillers. The
Tigers took the lead early and when
the Portland hitters came to bat In the
eighth the local fans were breathing
easy, as they believed that President
Shreeder had already locked the game
up In the big safe.
Far waa it from so. Four hits in a
row put Speas over the plat with Ort
following la his wake, tieing the score.
Then came four Innings of heart-rending
strusKle. It was a question of
which Ditcher weakened first and "Doc"
metritis was the one who wobbled. With.
one out Speas tripled, wnue aimer waa
safe on Kockenfleld's error, Speaa count
ing. Ort doubled, scoring Miller and a
single off the bat of catcher Harris
brought in the third run, while tne
bleachers and grandstand groaned in
agony.
The finish of the morning game was
filled with the same sort of excitement.
but did not go Into extra Innings, ine
Tigers practically threw the game away
In the middle stages of the contest
through listless playing, but they pulled

Generations ago Blatz proved its great worth as
