Various Tents of Oregon Present Can didate Portland Men to Be Reviewed 1000th Time. An event of great Interest to Macca bees of Oregon will take place at the Knights of Pythla hall tomorrow evening, when S00 members will be Ini tiated. The candidates to be Initiated have been obtained during the last 90 days among various tents of the state. -Willamette Tent No. will have 100 candi dates; Portland Tent No. 1. will bave 100; Marllnn Tent No. It of Jefferson will have 10 members and Prospect Tent No. 4S, Mount Hood No. 17 and Kenton of Portland will have an aggre gate of over 76 members making a grand total of over 300 who will com plete their membership In the order Thursday, evening. All arrangements are conducted un der the direction of a committee from th united teams of Multnomah County and the degree work of the order will be performed by a special degree team from Portland Tent No. 1 headed by E. M, Lance, record keeper. This team 1 has been drilled for some time assisting I in ha initiation rf a Urn number WhO joined Portland Tent No. 1 recently. Members will attend from every sec tion of the state. Oregon City. Salem, Jefferson. Albany, Llnnton and St. Johns will all be well represented. -In addition there will be over 75 delegates from the local organizations In the state together with the state officers, who, upon invitations of the committee, will occupy the chairs on this occasion. Thursday evening will be the 1000th review of Portland Tent No. 1 whicb was founded 30 years ago by Stat Commander Sherwood, who will pre side at that time. Another event of special Importance on this occasion will be th attendance of Kenton Tent No. S In a body, 100 strong, headed by Commander Spies having In his charge the state banner which Is presented semiannually to the local tent making the largest net gain for the proceeding six months. This trophy was won by Kenton Tent No. SS and was delivered Into their charge In January. D. P. Markey, supreme commander of Detroit, will be present and at the con clusion of the degree work will deliver an address. The State Convention will convene Friday morning at 10 o'clock A.
