Contest Between Sanitary Experts
and Milk Interests Is Expected
to Be Outcome.
"Sanitary Experts vs. Dairymen" haa
been augge-ted as the subject of the de
bate to take place tonight at the "Dollar
Dairy Banquet" to be riven In the din
ing hall of the Commercial Club, under
tha auspices of the promotion commit
tee. The original purpose of calling the ban
quet waa to "devise meana to revive the
dairy Industry and Introduce model dai
lies throughout the state." It la inti
mated now that the original purpose has
been lost sight of and that there will be
a contest between the sanitary experts
and the milk Interests. Representing
the sanitary lntereets will be Dr. Calvin
8 White, Dr. Andrew C. Smith and Dr.
E A. Pierce, of the Btate Board of
Health; Dr. C. H. Wheeler. City Health
Officer; D. VT. Mack, milk Inspector;
Earle D. Smith, chemist for the milk 'n
spector, and Mra. Sarah Evans, market
Inspector. It Is believed that from these
advocates of sanitation will come the
explanation of the purposea of the cru
sade for pure milk and the various meas
ures which have been adopted by legis
lative bodies to correct alleged evils in
the disposing of diseased meats and im
pure milk.
