Jan. 2V (Fpeclal Th wheat market was firmer today and blue atem was quoted a half cent higher, at fS cents. There was a fair demand, but trad ing la of hand-to-mouth variety, with comnlete lark of speculation. The scarcity of fresh halibut was relieved today by the arrival of ?. boxea from th north. Th fish sold at 10 centa pound, a -cent drop over last price. Hisher prices at Sua Francisco stiffened th lo-sl egg market and prices did not drop below 32 rent. The demand was auit. however, ss many retailers are atlll getting their supplies direct from the country. The butter market was easier and an early cut In ortcee is now In slcht. Light & Power Company and M. E. Dunn vs. the Portland Railway, Light & Power Company, for hearing at the County Courthouse at Oregon City on February 22, 1911, at, 10 a. m. This hearing will Involve the pas senger rates on the Oregon City di vision except to Oalt Grove and Mil waukie. The railroad has already or dered a reduction on the Oak Grove and Mllwaukle lines, and the decision was carried to the Supreme Court of the United States, where It Is now pending. It is charged in the original com plaints of Relmers and Dunn that the rate per mile on the Oregon City line is higher than on the Springwater di vision of the Portland Railway, Light & Power Company.
