Storks In Manufacturers' Bins Are Small and Tliry 'Will Have to Boy Heavily to Keep Their Machinery Going. A brighter outlook In the wool market Is Indicated by the latest mall advices from Boston. Boston dealers feel that If tha Improvement so far reported In tha heavy weight goods demand SB continued through tha repeat order season, the future of tha wool market ta assured and that prices of raw material are mora likely to advance tksa to decline. Tha stocks of wool are so low In manu facturers bins that extensive purchases can not be avoided If their machinery la to ran continuously. A strong effort Is being made to bring about this condition by tha naming of prices on gooda so low that clothiers can hare no excuse for withhold ing orders. Tha latter seem satisfied now that no better terms could possibly bo mads on overcoatings and mill men believe that for this reason there will be less cause this season to complain of cancellation of orders. It is probable that the prices In worsteds, to be named soon, will follow the general scheme ontllred above and that ".he ranee will be so Inviting that buyers cannot fall to place large orders, especially on saltings. It seems to be tha policy of manufactur ers to get enough business to employ their machinery aad keep thetr operating forcea Intact, even If the margin of profit la dangerously small. If this policy Is carried out It as evident to the wool trade that all the wool available la domestic markets will bo seeded before a new clip is reedy to be sold. The amount of foreign wool In the coun try is not larc and dealera are carry lag light stocks compared with their usual holdings at this tune of year. Importa tions sufficient to apeet the market equi librium are not deemed possible in view of the extremely light purchases so far mads In foreign markets and tha Improbability that there will be any large Increase In the buying after tha markets reopen. Even more powerful was ths weather situation, which seemed distinctly to favor the Fall-sown cros. In addition, general realising was reported as going on In Liverpool, where free offerings of La Plata wheat acted as an offset to smaller world's shipments. However, spec ulators working for a rally obtained a fresh hold through assertions, on expert authority, mair-talning that in Kansas and Oklahoma plrnt growth had been thin and that appear ances were forbidding.
