supply was carried over .from the holiday.
The feature of the day'a business was the
movement In cattle. Under a good de
mand and the offering of a better class of
stock than has been available lately, prices)
were lifted to a higher level on both steers
and cost Two bunchea of steers, aggre
gating 121 head, were sold at $5.5. an ad
vance of a Quarter over tha best price re
cently paid for top-grade stock. Other
good steers, several loads of them, brought
15.15. For cows tile best price paid was
$4.75 for two lota of ft head. Other cow
sales were from 4.5 down to 12. CSlTes
had a range of J &4 to .. according to
weight and quality. Bulls were also firm,
with sales at 13.5 to 4)4.
A plentiful supply of sheep waa on band
and several bunches were disposed of at
prices running from 3.20 to $3.75. No hoe;
sales were reported."

wool trade is dull, prices are firmly main
tained. The demand centers chiefly on terri
tory wool of the half-blood, grade and below.
New territory fleeces are moving moderately,
while quite a few transactions comprise, ordi
nal packaged.
Dealers are by no means urginir manufac
turers to take the be..t territory in quantity
st pt-evailincr prices, for the former are con
fident that bettor prices will be obtained later.
The lack of appreciable activity in the goods
market is primarily respons-ihlc for the con
tinued dullness in wool and it is problemat
ical when conditions will improve materially.
