Prosecutor Returns From Alaska in
Order to Be .Within Call of
San Francisco.
6EATTL.E, Aug. . Francis J. Heney,
the Ban Francisco Prosecutor, arrived to
day from his Alaska trip by way of Van
couver, and will stay here until he is In
structed by District Attorney Langdon
whether he is needed In San Francisco.
If there Is no hurry. Mr. Heney will go
to Oregon and hunt in the mountains. In
Alaska he did so hunting, but caught
many fish. Mr. Heney said:
"Mrs. Heney did not accompany me on
my return to Seattle. She Joined the
party headed by General Franklin Bell.
Chief of Staff of the United States Army,
and la accompanying them on their tour
of the territory. I received a telegram
this morning from her dated August 1. in
which she says the party arrived at Fort
Gibbon at noon that day and would start
for Fairbanks the same evening. They
will travel down the Yukon, a trip I
would have liked to take had I not been
afraid I would be needed at San Fran
Cisco before It was endeu."
