Tacoma scored a double shut-out over
Vancouver today, and making It six
out of seven In the erfes. Four of the
runs In thn morning game were forced
over the plate by Rless. the Vancouver
recruit pitcher, who was exceedingly
wild. Six nmn were given passes to
first in the second Inning, and one was
hit by a pitched ball. From the second
on. the game was air-tight.
Ike Butler won the afternoon game
for the Tigers by his magnificent pitch
ing and hie great hitting. His double
followed a two-bagger by Rresino, gave
Tacoma Its lone tally. Butter got three
hits out of three times up. The Tigers
played a brilliant fielding game in the
afternoon, and were never in danger.
The Beavers also played winning ball,
but could not connect with Butler often
enotigh to send a runner over thn plate.
Jn the seven games pis yed, Tacoma
has only been scored on four times,
five of the games being shut-outs. The

the rariou teams for the annual High
School meet, which will take place on
college field. June 7. The student asso
ciation has roted to finance the meet,
and Is busy with the preliminaries All
the High Schools of the state are elig
ible. Vive men are allowed to each
team, for which number transportation
expenses will be paid, and the team be
entertained while at CorralMs. More
men may be brought, but only the ex
penses of fire will be prorlded for.
