TERM
BONDS
It r quires a reasonable
amount of time for the average
man to fully make np his mind
to invest in one proposition or
another. All the points are care
fully considered. The approxi
mate profit is figured ; the
chances for loss are borne in
mind; the ability of the com
pany to pay promptly is a mat
ter of interest and concern. Last
of all, the advisability of invest
ing at all, and how much, is not
to be overlooked by the man
whose dollars count for much.
It has been said by habitual in
vestors that no man or woman
should invest money that has
been earned with great pains
without at least a week's con
sideration. Perhaps this is good
advice. It depends largely npon
. whether or not a really good in
vestment will be obtainable at
the expiration of that time. The
point we wish to call to your at
tention, however, is this: It is
advisable to carefully consider
an investment before making it.
Once decided, however, the long
er time that investment runs, the
better. This is true for several
reasons. It obviates the neces
sity of going all over the same
ground again when the former
investment expires; it saves the
inconvenience of settling up one
investment and starting anoth
er; frequently, when one is deal
ing through a broker, it elimi
nates the paying of commis
sions, adding to the earning
power of your capital. For in
stance, if you can invest $96 in
a $100 gold bond, running 30
years and drawing 5 per cent in
terest at par, you really receive
5.21 per cent, on the money that
you actually invest; you clip
your coupons twice a year, de
posit them in your bank and re
ceive immediate credit for them;
you have nothing to worry you,
as far as that $92 is concerned,
for 30 years. If you have two
of those bonds, yon have that
much less to think about. If
you have three, or a half-dozen,
all the better. You know the
assets of the company as suffi
cient to guarantee the interest
and that money, for 30 years, is
well invested providing it is
placed in OCEAN SHORE
RAILWAY BONDS. These are
facts we are reciting. Any ex
perienced investor will confirm
them. They are subjects of con
stant editorials in the big maga
zines. The leading financiers of
the United States are urging
you to participate in the pres
ent period of unparalleled in
vestment opportunity. Bonds
are low all over the United
States. They are certain to be
higher within a few weeks. It
is not at all nnlikely that
OCEAN SHORE BONDS will
all be sold by that time. Over
half of them are gone now. This
is a receding opportunity for
you. It is the only one, to onr
knowledge, offered in a long
time, enabling you to buy rail
road bonds below par upon easy
terms. You can buy one or as
many as you like at $96, payable
$16 down and $10 a month.
Meanwhile, your money is draw
ing interest, while you are pay
ing for the bonds.
